Matching Curves
Hello
I want to do something relatively simple. I have two keyframes. I want to apply easing to them to create a seamless loop.
My last Keyframe (Keyframe 60) has easing like this
I want to match the easing out with my very first keyframe ' Keyframe Frame 0'. This is so it doesn't 'pop' with a sudden increase or decrease in speed.
I've fudged it by hand here. Which is far less than ideal.
I quite like spine but if I had one complaint it would be the lack of control I have to apply good easing to my animation. It makes a big difference. In my experience within the game industry, animators are used to tools like Mayas graph editor.
Not having this feature makes animating a lot more difficult unless you are doing basic work with few key frames and generic easing.
If you have a suggestion for a work around I'd be grateful.
I think what you need is to store a Preset and apply it to the first frame.
select the key with ease you like to copy, open the preset window in the top right graph box, add a preset with that ease, then select the key you want to paste it, and apply it from the preset window
Hi Oz.
Thanks for the response but that doesn't do anything other than pasting stored values. Essentially a copy paste function.
This doesn't help match the easing out of one key frame with the easing in of another if the motion continues. See attached.
Thanks
Hello JimAnimator, and welcome to Spine!
We won't be adding new features to the Graph view, but we have begun work on a full blown curve editor like you are requesting. I can't give you an ETA on it yet, but it's got top priority.
Hi Shiu.
Thanks for the reply. Really glad to hear thats what you're focusing on. Look forward to using it, if you need feedback give me a shout.
