Editing mesh creating transparent areas issue
Hi!
I'm working on the last update (1.9.15 pro). I have weird transparent zones appearing when editing the meshes (cf attachment with the gray areas). I never had this issue before. Am I doing something wrong ?
Thanks in advance
PS : It didn't seem someone else mentioned that issue. I hope I'm posting at the right place.
nobody got the same problem ? or have a suggestion to deal with it ?
Woop something I know the answer to!
Go back into the Editmesh options and modify, now move some of your points so they're further away from the image.
When your image is a little larger than the bounds you've created your mesh at, things get a bit crazy in spine, even if just a small corner pokes out of the mesh bounds you'll get those invisible areas. I recently had this and fixed it that way, tested again and indeed that was the issue.
Additionally, from this shot here, it seems like you're going a bit overboard with this image, a wiser choice (requiring dramatically less points) would be to have things like the eyes, nose and mouth be seperate images that you overlay ontop of the empty face.
Hummmm
First of all, thank you Dan_Tsukasa!
I tried what you mentioned and I even double checked my texture but I keep getting those invisible areas.
I used to set points while editing the meshing. This time, I even try to keep the rectangular original "bound" but this is even worse !
This is not the 1st picture on which I add as many points. So, I suppose it is not the problem. But, if I can't solve the problem, I might use the blank face and the several textures on it.
Otherwise when you say "overboard", do you mean it's going to be hard to animate or there is a technical reason about favouring more textures with less points?
(I'm kinda use to moving that kind of meshing -usually it works tho- now so I wonder.)
Sorry for missing this thread. Any chance you can share the project at contact@esotericsoftware.com? then I'll let Nate know about it. It shouldn't be creating these blank areas!
Sorry I'm late. It's very strange. Some parts of the mesh are missing triangles:
Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway
If you go to Edit Mesh
, the texture is drawn behind the mesh so you won't see holes, but you can see the problem in the triangles:
Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway
If you move any vertex, the mesh is triangulated as it should be and everything is fine:
Image removed due to the lack of support for HTTPS. | Show Anyway
I'm not sure how you managed to create a mesh with bad triangulation (missing triangles)? Maybe it was an older version of Spine which had a bug that has since been fixed? At any rate, you can just Edit Mesh
, move a vertex and move it back to fix the problem. Do this for each mesh with the problem.
I got the last version of the program and effectively all my meshes are good now !
Thank you !
