Hi, we are Alcyon Games, a two guys developing team, and we want to show you our development progress on Elyra: Echoes from the Void, a Super Metroid and Ori and the Blind Forest influenced videogame.

The game is heavily inspired by Super Metroid, our favorite videogame as a child; and graphically inspired by Ori and the Blind forest.

This is an exploration 2d videogame set in a sci-fi universe, where you play as Aida Nebul, a Void Wanderer hired to protect a scientific expedition to a new moon that appeared on the gas giant Farlorn.

As you reach the surface of the moon you're attacked by the Acrata, an anarchy faction in the universe. You get stranded on the surface of the planet, the ships stop working for some reason and can't take off. Looking for survivors and trying to escape you explore the moon discovering its secrets.

Hi to vereyone, a year has passed and we have work so hard on this. We are currently working on a demo right now, we've been updating art and animation assets, and we've been working on new content too! We even released our first teaser for a demo we're working on. So much things here I will left you with the teaser:

Besides the neat animations, I especially love the environment art. Great work!

Looks great! Really nice environments.

The run animation seems a little stiff to me. But it could just be personal preference.

Thanks!, yes those gifs are a little bit old, we are revisiting a lot of animations to make them more fluid. Thanks for the feedback!

Many thanks! one of the core elements of the development of this game is to achieve an appealing and misterious atmosphere. The other one is the story.
Obviously we are aiming for entertaining core gameplay mechanics too.

New enemy for the game, fully animated! Now we just need to add it to the game
