  • Two questions about Spine before purchase

Hi,

we are very interested in buying Spine for our small project. I have two questions before that, just to make sure:

  • if I want to make, say a "breathing" animation when a sprite's body is scaled up and back down, do I need the FFD and Pro for this?

  • since we are using Unity, I was worried to read about somewhat clunky process of importing spine files into Unity. However, if I understand this correctly, I can export an animation as a regular spritesheet and use it as a classical sprite in Unity, right?

Thanks!

(1) You'll get more controllable and usually nicer-looking results with FFD. You could always download the Trial Version first and see what works for you.
You should also ask Nate/Shiu about upgrade options in case you're not ready to commit to the Pro version yet.

(2) Impoting Spine assets into Unity isn't difficult. It recently got a lot faster and more convenient so that really isn't an issue.

But yes. You do also have an option to export as a classical sprite, and forgo all the benefits of a real skeletal animation system.

Can Spine be activated on more than one computer?

Yes the Spine license allows you to install it on two different computers as long as you are the only one using Spine on them.
