  • [PSD Import] "Ignore hidden layers" causes incorrect merge

Spine 4.2.28

If I use Import PSD... (sample file:
)

Then these layers:

Get erroneously merged in Spine:

But if I uncheck "Ignore hidden layers" then it imports the separate layers correctly:

The same thing happens regardless of there being an actual hidden layer.

Aye, that looks like a bug. Can you please post the PSD if you have it handy? That'd make the fix a little easier!

I originally did and I think the forum stripped it from my post.

Weird. The forum puts a link to the download in your post text, maybe that got deleted. At any rate, I got it on Discord, thanks!

Thanks for your report and for sending us the PSD. Without the file, I wouldn't be able to reproduce it!
The software you are using to generate the images is setting the visibility of the closing group elements differently from Photoshop and any other software. 😮
I made a fix to take this difference into consideration. It will be included in the next release (4.2.29).

Just out of curiosity, which graphic software are you using?

    Thanks for the fix!

    4.2.29 is up now!

    Hello!
I found this bug again with the lastest 4.2.36 Spine version.
I cannot reproduce the bug with other PSDs other than the one I'm using for an NDA project.

Can I send the PSD through a private channel so that it's not available to the public?
I obviously need it to be kept confidential.
