Are you having problems using PS to achieve the same result as in Spine with Additive blend mode? Your included image in the zip file ef1 use PS Linear Dodge it just total become full white..png is white likely because you added something to a white background, which will not make white any lighter since it's already at the maximum. If you start with a black background in PS or place your additive image on top of any drawing, you should see the blended result as in Spine.
