I bought Spine and steamed ahead and created a character with roughly 10 animations, but now I'm in the awkward position of wanting to add another skin.

Is there any way to retrospectively assign the current character as one skin then go about adding another.

The video seems to start by creating the skins first......

Browsing the forums in hope there is a way to do this without painstakingly rebuilding my character.

Nice one.

Not currently I'm afraid 🙁 I guess we could add a button so you can select an image and move it into a Skin Placeholder automatically, this would probably not be too difficult to add. Let's see what what Nate has to say about it.

Maybe you can export the skeleton as JSON, use some RegEx to do it in text, then import the JSON back into Spine?

Hi,

I hope that I well understand the issue, but I maybe found a solution, if you haven't prepare the skeleton with "placeholder".

You can create your skin with your skeleton, then create a new one, and change all the "path" of your attachement file.

It can be a little long, but it work very well for me.

Kam ChowChow, yup, that is an ok workflow. You can use the Find and Replace tool at the top of the tree to make changing all the names or paths of your images much faster.
