  • Mouse Y axis inverted

Hi guys,

Bit of a weird one here. When I drag anything from the tree on the right, my mouse Y-axis is inverted while dragging. As soon as I drop and pick it up again, it is normal.

Tried restarting Spine, my laptop but no luck.

I've made a simple video showing the issue if you would like to see it.

Any thoughts on what I can do? Didn't have this issue yesterday before or after the update, so not really sure what has changed :wonder:

Can't repro.
That's really bizarre though. Sounds low-level.

Are you using a mac? Using multi-touch touchpad of any sort?
Does it happen when dragging anything at all? Or just specific types of things?

I'm using a windows 8.1 laptop, just a standard mouse plugged in but happens with touchpad (not multi touch) and other mice too. It happens when dragging any object from the right-hand tree, but nothing else, and it doesn't happen with say, Windows explorer.

Is there a safe way to delete Spine config files to re-download the program? Maybe that will fix it..?

What the... I honestly have no clue about this one. You can try renaming the C:/users/<name>/Spine dir. Please don't delete it yet. In case it fixes it, Nate would maybe like to take a closer look at it.

Hi,

First timer here.. Got my copy of Spine today - still getting used to the workflow and some of its quirkiness but having fun so far.

I've encountered the same issue as the OP: dragging an image from the tree inverts the Y-axis while dragging.

I'm on OS X 10.8.5.
Spine v.1.8.18.

Issue happens with both a regular mouse and touchpad.

Cheers
J

Yeah i get exact same problem too on my OSX 10.9.2 laptop too.

Same problem for me on Windows 8.1 with a regular mouse.

Confirmed inverted Y on trackpad OSX 10.9.2 , Spine 1.8.18

Exactly the same on my Win7, 1.8.18

Gotcha, the y axis is inverted when dragging an image from the tree into the editor area. Fixed in 1.8.19. 🙂

I'm afraid 1.8.19 is another monster release. I've made significant changes to support skinning and I hope to do a final push, finish skinning and release. Delaying the release is better than wasting effort making the skinning changes compatible with the old way meshes work, which would just be a stopgap. I hope it will just be another couple days. Sorry for the delay!

Exciting.
