  • Dope sheet and deleting key frames

I'm sure I'm over looking something.

I have several animations in a giving Spine file. When I edit an animation sequence and I delete key frames. I have trouble going to other animations because the Dope Sheet doesn't seem to update. But if I open up the saved file again all the other keyframes in the other animations are fine and the one I edited looks like it did when I edited.

Any thoughts?

When I delete key frames, they disappear. What do you see? Please gives steps to reproduce the dopesheet not updating.

Say I have 5 different animations.

I go into the first animation. I delete out key frames and only leave the thing I want animated in there. For this animation it's a transparency setting.

When I click to another animation. The dope sheet looks like the other animation I was editing. All the keyframes I removed are gone but the full animation plays fine.

I save and reopen and now that dope sheet looks normal for the new one I want to edit.

So when I go to the other animations I can't edit their dope sheets because the dope sheet doesn't seem to visually update. You know maybe I'm using this differently than other people too.

Did that help?

You know it's just a weird order that I haven't quite figured out yet. I just can't seem to go from one animation to the next and have the dope sheet draw new for the next animation I want to edit.

now it worked. but I have to collapse, expand and in the dope sheet and the tree.

I love this software by the way! GREAT PROGRAM!!!! So easy to use!

Are you saying the dopesheet continues to show keys from the first animation when you show the second animation? I don't see this happen, the dopesheet always shows me keys for the animation that is visible. Are your animations in the same skeleton?

Is there any chance you can do a quick screencast so I can see the whole problem? Maybe with this:

There are a number of things that cause the dopesheet to refresh what items it shows. Deselecting should also do it (space, escape, or double click). However, clicking an animation visibility dot refreshes the dopesheet items, so I'm not sure why it isn't refreshing for you.
