  • Spine no longer starts on OSX since 1.7.08 update

I was creating an animation yesterday and everything was running fine. This morning Spine updated to 1.7.08 and no longer starts. It updated, launcher started and loads to 99% then disappears. There is no error in osx console and spine log states below

Spine Launcher 1.4.9-full
Licensed to: removed, removed
Mac OS X x86_64 10.9.1
Java 1.7.0-u6-unofficial Oracle Corporation
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM
Up to date: 1.7.08
Spine 1.7.08 Professional, JGLFW
Error starting app.

Is there anywhere else that errors are written? If I delete the 1.7.08 from the updates folder and disable internet access Spine won't load the the previous version. It just asks for the internet to be fixed. So for the time being, I'm spineless

Same happens for us on all our OSX computers in the studio.

I post how to manually rollback spine.
maybe you can use previous version until this bug fixed.

Same bug happens in my computer!
I have OS X 10.8.5 and everything was perfect in my Spine version before this new update.
We really need to use Spine and use the mesh new feature!

Hello,

Today when I tried to open my Spine its not launching the program, could this be something that happened with the newest update? Two other people I know are having the same problem when they started up their Spine today.

Same thing here. Appreciate the background updates, but we're a working studio with a deadline, can't have the authoring software going tits up on us. Is there a way to disable auto-updates?

Hi,

I have the same problem and this is REALLY urgent - I need to finish an Animation today!!
I beg you, please fix this as soon as possible!! :S

It shows the Loading-Splash-Screen and loads towards 100% and after that the app closes without any message. Even the OS console doesn't tell me anything. ???

I am working on an MacBook Pro Retina 2012

  • 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
  • 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
  • OS X 10.8.5

I hope you can fix this today. Besides that your Software is awesome and saved me a lot of time!

Best regards

Martin

Works a charm, thanks mate!

Sorry guys, I borked the update last night. I knew I shouldn't do an update at 4am, but wanted to get out the fix for multiple SRT rows in the dopesheet after pasting. 🙁 It's fixed now, very sorry! I'll try to be more careful in the future. No updates after 7pm would be a good rule!
