  • is there any easy way to duplicate an entire character rig

which includes mesh, bone, ik constraints and animation, for example I have a running character all set up and animated, now I want to duplicate this whole character, it doesn't seem to be trivial, I have to manually duplicate all the mesh objects that are attached to the bones and their constraints, very frustrating, any easier workaround?

You can add a 2nd skin as the new character on the same skeleton.

As Nick suggested, adding skins may be the ideal solution:
Skins - Spine User Guide

You could also duplicate the whole skeleton by selecting the skeleton then clicking on the duplicate button in the skeleton properties in case you need one skeleton to interact with another.
Knowing why you need a copy may help in giving a more precise answer.
