Hey, I had a real hard time uploading a new profile pic, these limits are extremely restrictive, even with a JPG:
Maximum dimensions; width: 90 pixels, height: 90 pixels, file size: 20.00 KiB. I finally did it though, but i had to paint over the stars in the background of my tiny image, to make it compress better 😛

I suggest you change that to at least allow an image up to 100k and bigger if possible. Just so you know if you notice people don't upload profile images 🙂

Typically using jpg format here would make file size much larger instead of smaller, unless when using very low quality settings.
Did your file also exceed the file size limit when exported as as a png file? If so, what image editor were you using? Out of curiosity I quickly overlaid random semitransparent RGB noise over your avatar image and only so got over 20KB - 28KB, straight out of an old Photoshop CS 5.5. The theorecical uncompressed raw content is 90x90x3 = 24.3KiB, so I guess it would make sense to raise it to 30KB, but how do you achieve more than 100KB? 🙂

Bumped it to 26KB. That should be enough for anyone, ever, right?! 😉

Hehe yeah i don’t need 100k, but it was maddening to make a jpg of the lowest quality end up at 22kb ? yeah i think png was something similar.

Great that you fixed it, sorry to derail you on less important tasks ?

For my opinion, 90x90 px is to low

Yep, it's kinda small these days, and the image looks a bit blurry 🙂

Then you are either viewing the webpage on another scale than 100%, or you should check with your monitor manufacturer 😉 (or not use jpg where it makes no sense  ).
