Spine Skins not working
Hi! I've been using spine in the last month for a project I was hired for. I've been following tutorials about how to change skins or how to create new skins and I've been getting the same problem even though I did everything (at least I think so) correct.
When I'm importing 2 skins to spine, they both get imported but when I try to switch between skins with the comma and period hotkeys, Spine doesn't show me the other skin.
When I look for it in the tree tab, it shows both skins but when I select one to appear, the other part of that skin it's disabled.
I haven't found a way to fix it so I was hoping someone here could help me with it.
Hello, this is an easy fix:
You are using skin placeholders as if they were skins, but they are not: they have a hanger icon because they are the generic item you append skin parts to.
To fix this simply do the following:
- in the slot CABECA you should have only one skin placeholder, you can call it CABECA too. Take the images attachments out of the skin placeholders for now.
- activate the Felix skin, move the Felix head image attachment inside the CABECA skin placeholder.
- activate the John skin, the CABECA skin placeholder should be empty again now. Move the Felix head image attachment inside the CABECA skin placeholder.
After doing this, switching skin will activate the correct images attachments. Repeat for every incorrect skin placeholder situation.
