Hi my name is Bud one of the members of a small low budget indie studio working on our first game.

We have a super talented artist that were really happy with, and we were making CCG so static artwork is fine. But I'm curious if we could use spine to animate our characters and how well it would look given the level of detail and amount of 'texture' that is present.

Here is a sample character:

Do you think it would work well? We could switch to full body portrait so there is more to work with, but we don't want to simplify or change the overall style.

If you'd be interested in taking one of our characters and making an animation demo shoot me a message with rate. If it can be made to work then we'de be interested in talking about commission work.

Thank you for your time reading this and please share with friends.

Hi TheDesignor, lovely artwork! It can be definitely animated in Spine, in fact if you check out our Spine Twitch page, you'll find archives of artworks with a similar layout and style coming to life: Spine: Twitch

I'm sure one of the talented artists that roam the forums can help you achieve similar results!

Thanks! I thought Spine worked best with just flat cartoon/anime style characters. But after looking around more I definitely see it being used in more detailed characters. Looking forward to testing it. Thanks for your reply.

Hi! I am 2D animator for over 20 years and now I am learning Spine. I would be very glad if I can try with new characters, I need it for my reel in Spine.
Thanks!
