Animation Exists, but has Disappeared from the Skeleton
So I've worked on a very big animation for awhile and somewhere along the line the animation in the Skeleton disappeared. I have all the dope sheet there with all the animation and I can get to it if I toggle between ANIMATION and SETUP, but the animation section in the tree shows no drop down of animations within it anymore. If I create a new animation, it appears as the only animation and I can longer work on this one I've been making. I started in 3.8.11 and updated recently to the 8.5.*s.
Please advise, I'm at risk of losing hours of work because I can't copy the animation over to repair it. Sadly I'm unable to recreate this, but I've had similar things happen when updating from past versions.
I've uploaded the json and there is animation data in there.
Sorry you are having trouble. Can you please post or email your .spine
file? contact@esotericsoftware.com We don't need the images. If the animation is in the file, just not showing up in the tree, I'm 100% sure we can recover it for you (and possibly make Spine automatically fix such a situation when loading projects).
Any idea how it got into this state? Did you create folders and/or move animations around between folders?
Lastly, do you have a version of your project from 3.8.11? You may be able to find that in your backups folder. Opening an older project, from before Spine had folders, should work fine but it's possible there is a bug.
Sent!
Thanks! I've replied with a fixed version of your project, with your animation recovered.
In 3.8.59 Spine will automatically fix up projects with this problem. My guess (and hope) is that it you were one of the early adopters, using folders soon after they were released in the beta, and this was a bug in the beta that has since been fixed.
Sorry for the trouble!
Awesome! Works perfectly
