Need help with path constraint..
Hi guys
Please, i need a help on this for a job:
I just managed to create a nice constraint over a curve:
now im following this tutorial(Tutorial: Making a Squash & Stretch rig in Spine Pro. (Advanced Rigging) - YouTube) to create a path constraint for those 3 bones of that leg and attach it to the IK i just did:
i select the 3 bones and create a path constrain and click on the curve.. and this happens:
all bones get crazy and spin whenever i try to move.. :/
Hello Vertov,
You might want to change the Rotate mode to Chain or Chain scale instead of tangent, as you can see here: Path Constraints - Spine User Guide: Rotate mode
If you want a video tutorial to follow, here are two other examples of the same process done on a leg:
As you can see on this video at 4:30:
Spine 3.4 paths sample projects walkthrough - YouTube
And this video at 50m58s:
Twitch: Rigging in Spine Pt. 1 - YouTube
thank you!
that worked!
but i found another issue that i didn't catch in happening in the video..
my bones, after i commited to the path, got shortened, it's not reaching the tip:
EDIT: i found the way... i did the spacing BEFORE binding the weights xD
SRY, and thanks alot
but i still haven't figured how to simulate the stretching, to create that threshold
In this video at 58m42s I explain how to do it :>
Basically you take the number of bones, then you divide 100 by that number, then you set the spacing to Percent and write the number you obtained there and you're done!
