So I'm just doing a test animation of a character, but I can't get the collision working properly in Gamemaker, and was hoping somebody here would be able to help me. In GM, It seems to be using a larger box around the character (which I believe is the canvas size of the original images before importing them into spine?) than what I've set it as in "modify collision shape in the object. When I set it as a box exactly around the character, he stops above the ground about half the height of the character, and when I change the bottom of the collision shape to half way down the character, then he collides on his feet where he should. I don't understand why?
I've read that the bounding boxes are set in Spine, but when I set one ( for example to the Root bone), it doesn't seem to use it in GM, it just keeps using a big box around the character. Also, I'm clearly able to set the collision box in game maker, consider how I am able to use the weird work around of making the collision box smaller than what it should be (what I wrote above). Any ideas? What am I doing wrong to not get the collisions working.
I really appreciate any help I can get on this, it's frustrating me because its holding me back from moving forward with everything.
I'm using v.1.4.1763 of GM
